So basically, I make a bunch of stuff because it looks like fun, but then it just sits there on the shelf gathering dust and I think ‘What’s the point of making all this stuff if it’s just gonna sit there and no one sees it?’ After nearly two years of being lazy and wanting stuff to happen but not doing anything about it I figured it was time to get my butt in gear and progress.
The Background
I graduated from DeMontfort University in 2012 with a degree in Textile Design – specialising in Print, I learned so much and barely put any of it into use. You can check out my uni stuff at www.chantelleburdett.wordpress.com if you like.
Career
I worked as a brand specialist for a while but retail wasn’t for me, so at the moment I’m working with kids, and I love it! Just as much as I love creating things. Combining the two gives me so many ideas for work and home, but if I could make a career out of the things I make I’d be in my element, so I guess that’s pretty much what I’m aiming for.
Thanks for reading if you got this far (I don’t blame you if you didn’t, chunks of writing can get boring.)
